The superfast chip in iPhone 14 is the same as that in iPhone 13 Pro. The 5-core GPU in the A15 Bionic powers all the newest features and creates ultra flexibility in graphically demanding games and AR applications. You can participate in the action for longer thanks to an updated internal design that provides better thermal efficiency.
Over the coming year, the Apple iPhone 14 is expected to rank among the top smartphones, but is this popularity justified?

Screen and Design
- Similar to the iPhone 12 and 13 in appearance
- Nice display, but no Dynamic Island or ProMotion
- New color collection, including a lovely light blue
Apple has maintained the same overall design for its less expensive iPhone model for the third year in a row. The 2021 and 2022 releases are identical, with the exception of some minor color changes, like the tasteful Blue and Purple I have been praising.
The iPhone 14 is still a stylish phone, even though some improvements would have been nice. I like how the flat sides of the phone have a matte finish, which prevents fingerprints and smudges, which is the exact opposite of the iPhone 14 Pro.
Most people will feel comfortable and at ease using this lightweight device. With an IP68 rating for water resistance and Apple’s Ceramic Shield for supplemental drop protection, it is also reasonably durable. A screen protector is still necessary to keep the panel in the best condition because I still think these screens scratch too easily. A few months after the phone was first unboxed, the display has some minor scratches.
Camera
- Two cameras on the back
- New selfie camera
- Telephoto zoom is only available on the Pro version
The iPhone 14 has the most improvements in the camera department. It has the same f/1.5 aperture and 12MP rear sensor as the iPhone 13 Pro, making it faster and more powerful than the iPhone 13.
With some notable improvements and a slight adjustment to the image processing pipeline using the Photonic Engine, the selfie camera can now render accurate skin tones much more effectively.
Performance
- No SIM slot in the US
- The same chip as the iPhone 13 Pro is used
- Smooth, quick performance
The iPhone 14 has two important feature upgrades, but neither of them involves a new chipset. The new A16 Bionic chipset is only offered on the Pro models, which is a recurring theme of this review.
The improvements in safety are what really stand out. Although the iPhone 14 doesn’t exactly offer features that make it worthwhile to upgrade from the iPhone 13 (or iPhone 12, for that matter), it’s encouraging to see Apple looking for novel ways to go beyond what we typically expect from a phone.
The first feature is called Car Crash Detection, which uses the phone’s sensitive accelerometer to notify emergency services and emergency contacts after a collision. At Trusted Reviews, testing every aspect of a phone is essential, but crashing a car just to test a phone feature might be going too far.
Then, thanks to some clever new satellite technology, there is an emergency SOS feature. This enables residents of the US, Canada, and UK to contact emergency services even when they are currently living outside of their network’s coverage area.
Battery Life
- No charger included
- Endurance to get you through the day
- Wireless charging available
The iPhone 14 battery is slightly better than the iPhone 13. The enhancements it has over the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 are more significant. The benefits are clear if you’re coming from an iPhone (or Android phone) that’s a few years old, which I assume is the majority of people who are eager to upgrade to this.
Apple iPhone 14 Pros & Cons
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Autofocus makes selfies look better | Still just 60Hz refresh rate |
Crash detection and satellite SOS are neat | No optical zoom |
Fast A15 Bionic performance | ESim won’t appeal to everyone |
Excellent cameras | Year-over-year upgrades are minimal |
Vibrant display | Minimal differences to the iPhone 13 |
iPhone 14 Price in Pakistan
Apple iPhone 14 price in Pakistan is probably lower, though, as it is now an older model and has been replaced by several newer iPhone models like the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 pro but the new iPhone 14 price in Pakistan is around 385,000. Check websites like iShopping, OLX, or Daraz, to find the most recent iPhone 14 prices in Pakistan. Remember that prices on these websites can vary, and you should always exercise caution when buying from individual sellers.
Apple iPhone 14 different City Prices in Pakistan
City | Price |

Price in Lahore | Rs385,000/- |
Price in Karachi | Rs385,000/- |
Price in Quetta | Rs385,000/- |
Price in Peshawar | Rs385,000/- |
Price in Faisalabad | Rs385,000/- |
Conclusion
The iPhone 14 is a very minor upgrade to a fantastic phone. It was possibly even referred to as the iPhone 13S in previous years. If you already own an iPhone 13, there aren’t many reasons to update, but if you’re coming from an older model, there are plenty of advantages.
Performance is still excellent, so the absence of a new chipset shouldn’t be of any concern. However, it is somewhat disappointing that a 60Hz display is still being supported.
However, the camera is great for both photography and videography; the software is top-notch, and it was a wise decision to include many safety features. Additionally, the battery life is excellent for a phone of this size. I highly advise getting the iPhone 14 Pro if you can afford the extra cost. It has a much better screen, a camera with more flexibility, and clever features like Dynamic Island and the always-on display.
